Cosmetic Dental Bridges

You don’t have to be without teeth!

A dental bridge is where a gap is ‘bridged’ via an artificial tooth, which is fixed to replace a missing tooth or teeth. It’s typically bonded to the teeth on either side of the ‘gap’.

Unlike dentures, bridges are non-removable and thus more long-term – whereas dentures can be removed. A dental bridge can allow you to forget that you have a missing tooth/ teeth – and the results are aesthetic and long-lasting!

The benefits

  • Improve your smile as the ‘gaps’ in your mouth are replaced by a life-like porcelain bridge. As the bridge will be made of ‘all porcelain’ there will be no metal showing!

  • Improve your chewing ability and speech.

  • Prevent food ‘packing’ into the gap created by a lost tooth/ teeth

How do Dental Bridges work?

Your dentist will initially take impressions of the adjacent teeth, so as to ensure a perfect fit for the dental bridge. This is because two dental crowns will have to be attached to the supporting teeth, so that they can help to keep the artificial tooth in place.

Here at Clarendons, it’s our mission to make sure you receive a high quality dental care experience.

FAQ’s

Both treatments replace missing teeth, however they do vary. For example, implants are an almost exact replacement for the tooth, and are more durable, whereas bridges involve crowns being installed in between two natural teeth, so as to fill the gap.

The procedure is not painful as you will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the area, so there's absolutely no need to worry!
