What is Orthodontics?

Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry concerned with the treatment of dysfunctional bites (malocclusion), which may be due to tooth irregularity, imbalance of the jaws or both. As well as the correction of irregular teeth, treatment may involve the control and modification of facial growth. The end result of treatment is a smile that not only looks great but is also functionally ideal. Treatment can be completed at any age so if you are not happy with your smile, age is not something  that should stop you seeking treatment.
