Dr Jayendra Patel

Principal Dental Surgeon BChD (Hons), MFDS RCS (Eng), MJDF RCS (Eng), PGDip OS

Winner of “Best Young Dentist” 2010 (NE), Dr Patel has also been selected to be on the judging panel for the Dentistry Awards 2012.

 

He is one of the partners at the clinic. He is currently in the final year of his MSc in Oral Surgery. He has also continues to be a Vocational Trainer (for newly qualified dentists) for the Yorkshire & Humber Postgraduate Deanery since 2010.

 

Having graduated from the Leeds Dental Institute in 2004 with Honors, Jay went on to complete his membership examinations (MFDS) in 2006 and his Membership in the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) in 2010, both at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

 

He is also an examiner for The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.

Jay has published research as primary author in the prestigious British Dental Journal (BDJ) and Dental Update.

 

His past experience includes working as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield and at The University Dental Hospital of Manchester.

Jay enjoys spending time with his friends and family, eating out and the odd shopping trip (or two!)
