Trevor Hodge BDS, MFDS, MPhil, MOrthRCS, FDS (Orth) RCS
Trevor is currently a specialist orthodontist and a part-time consultant at The Leeds Dental Institute and Pinderfields General Hospital
He graduated in dentistry from the University of Bristol in 1995. Following 3 years as a general dental practitioner he returned to the hospital service widening his postgraduate education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric and Restorative Dentistry.
In 1999 he gained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery examination and later that year joined the 3 three year postgraduate orthodontic training programme at the Birmingham Dental Hospital.
In 2002 he was awarded a Masters degree in Orthodontics of the University of Birmingham and in the same year gained his Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons winning first prize for his treated cases judged on difficulty, clinical management, and documentation.
Following consultant training at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford and The Eastman Dental Hospital in London, Trevor was awarded the Fellowship in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004 and in 2005 won the Maurice Berman Prize for cases demonstrating the highest level of clinical ability during this period of higher specialist training
Trevor now works in part-time private practice and also as a Consultant Orthodontist at the Leeds Dental Institute and Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield. He is actively involved in the training of postgraduate Orthodontic Specialist Registrars and in the clinical management of complex cases with a particular interest in the treatment of adult patients especially those requiring a combination of orthodontics and surgery and/or restorative dentistry. He is a member of the British and European Orthodontic Societies and is on the Specialist List for Orthodontics of the General Dental Council.
Trevor is also a co-founder of The Yorkshire Orthodontic Therapy Programme organised along with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
