Examinations to improve your child’s oral health!

Our dental practice has a large team of experienced Specialist Paediatric Dentists!

We receive hundreds of referrals every month from dentists in and around West Yorkshire, including the Dental Institute, and have two dedicated children’s treatment suites that offer inhalation sedation. We also have two fish tanks in the practice which the children can enjoy!

The benefits

Routine visits / examinations will provide untold advantages for your child, such as:

  • Detect issues early - the earlier you catch dental issues, the more treatable they are! It’s extremely beneficial to bring your child to the practice regularly, so any issues are flagged and immediately dealt with!
  • Acclimatisation - getting your child accustomed to the dental setting from an early age will do wonders, as they’ll be far less likely to be nervous about visiting the dentist - which could drastically improve their oral health.
  • Aesthetics- visiting the dentist regularly will result in healthier, brighter teeth as issues can be resolved straight away!

FAQ’s

When should my child first visit the dentist?

A child’s first visit to the dentist should be when they get their first tooth and should be no later than 1 year after their birth. This exposure to the dental setting will prepare your child for future routine visits so that they become normal and expected.

Is radiation from X-rays a risk for my child?

The level of exposure is extremely low, so there's no need to worry! X-rays are considered safe for both adults and children and are a great tool for dentists to use.
