More about Cosmetic Dentistry
Gums should be checked prior to cosmetic treatment
For stable and healthy teeth, our gums also need to be healthy. Prior to cosmetic treatments, it’s always advisable to book an appointment with the Dental Hygienist, so as to clear up any issues before you turn up for your cosmetic dental treatment. The issue with cosmetic treatment being carried out with unhealthy gums, is that the gums will likely bleed during the procedure and this can affect the success of the cosmetic work being done.
Cosmetic Dentistry focuses on improving appearance
Generally, Cosmetic treatment is carried out when people wish to improve the appearance of their teeth and mouth, which is what separates it from other types of dentistry. For example, unlike with general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry doesn’t cover treatments that solely improves functionality.
Our experts can help you make the right choice!
Some patients may want to improve the appearance of their teeth but are unsure as to which treatment would work best for their particular ideas. This is where our expert cosmetic dentists come into the equation, as they have years of experience and will be able to advise you on all the benefits and drawbacks associated with the treatments you’re looking at.
