An ambassador for Child Friendly Leeds, Lucy is a fervent believer in prevention before cure, and aims to empower children in their oral healthcare and improve their experience of attending for dental appointments. Understanding the challenges that some children face with dental anxiety and in particular, neurodivergent children, she offers cognitive behavioural therapy and inhalation sedation in the relaxing setting of Clarendons.
Passionate about teaching and development, Lucy also works part-time as a Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Leeds. In this institution she enjoys teaching paediatric dentistry and sedation techniques to undergraduate and postgraduate level students.
When Lucy has free time, she enjoys yoga, interior design and restoration of furniture, and live rock music.
